Full Description

Wide-Format Printing up to A3

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 is designed for users who require more flexibility than a standard A4-only printer.

With support for A3 media measuring 297 × 420 mm, it can print larger documents such as spreadsheets, reports, diagrams, layouts, and presentation materials.

This wide-format capability makes it a practical choice for offices and businesses that regularly handle documents requiring additional page space.

Print, Copy, and Scan in One Device

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 combines three essential document functions: printing, copying, and scanning.

Users can produce physical documents, duplicate existing pages, and convert paper documents into digital files using a single multifunction device.

This all-in-one design supports a more convenient document workflow for routine business and office activities.

Color Inkjet Printing

Using HP Thermal Inkjet technology, the printer supports both black-and-white and color document output.

Black print quality reaches up to 1200 × 1200 rendered dpi, while optimized color resolution reaches up to 4800 × 1200 dpi under the media and input conditions specified by HP.

These specifications make the printer suitable for a range of office documents, presentations, tables, and color graphics.

Print Speeds up to 22 ppm Black and 18 ppm Color

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 delivers ISO-rated print speeds of up to 22 pages per minute in black and 18 pages per minute in color.

These speeds help users manage recurring office print jobs and prepare documents during their daily workflow.

Actual print speeds may vary depending on document complexity, media, software, and printer settings.

Automatic Two-Sided Printing

The printer supports automatic duplex printing for compatible A4 and Letter paper sizes.

This feature allows supported documents to be printed on both sides without manually turning the pages over.

Automatic duplex printing can also help reduce paper consumption when double-sided output is suitable.

Important: A3 printing is supported, but automatic two-sided printing is specified for A4 and Letter media. Automatic A3 duplex printing should not be assumed.

35-Sheet Automatic Document Feeder

The built-in automatic document feeder accommodates up to 35 sheets, allowing users to process multi-page documents more conveniently for scanning and copying.

Instead of positioning every page individually on the scanner glass, users can place a supported set of documents in the feeder.

The printer supports both flatbed and ADF scanning. Automatic two-sided scanning is not supported.

Scan Documents to PDF and Other Formats

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 supports multiple scan file formats, including PDF, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, and PNG.

This functionality is useful for digital document storage, sharing, and routine office archiving.

The scanner provides an optical resolution of up to 1200 dpi.

Scan size note: The maximum scanning area is 216 × 356 mm. Although the printer supports A3 printing, it does not offer full A3 flatbed or ADF scanning.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi and Wired Connectivity

The printer supports dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity on compatible 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks.

It also offers Ethernet and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connections, providing different setup options for supported office environments.

Compatible mobile printing technologies include Apple AirPrint and Mopria, allowing supported devices to send print jobs through the appropriate network configuration.

2.7-Inch Color Touchscreen

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 features a 2.7-inch color touchscreen on its front control panel.

The touchscreen provides direct access to printer controls and settings, making it easier to navigate printing, copying, and scanning operations.

250-Sheet Input Tray

The paper input tray holds up to 250 sheets, while the output tray supports up to 75 sheets.

This capacity helps reduce frequent paper refilling during routine office printing.

The printer supports various compatible media sizes and inkjet paper types, including plain paper, selected photo papers, professional presentation media, and envelopes.

Cement Color and Practical Design

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 features a Cement color finish and an all-in-one design.

Its main dimensions are 58.1 × 44.5 × 30.6 cm (width, depth, and height), with a listed weight of approximately 14.6 kg.

Additional workspace should be considered for opening the trays, handling documents, and accessing the printer during everyday use.

Designed with Recycled Plastic

According to HP, the printer contains at least 30% recycled plastic, calculated as a percentage of the product's total plastic weight.
